Install a tape drive on a non-media server

Hello All,

I need help with this scenario.

I have a SCSI tape drive connected to a Backup Exec 2010 SBS media server.

I have a new server DL380 G8 and I intend to use this for Backup Exec 2014 and discard the BE 2010 media server.

There is no ESO license.

I plan to get a Library Expansion option. if i intend to use another tape library.

Can I use the SCSi tape drive on a system that is not a media server?

The SCSi controller is not support on the DL380 G8 server. Can the ESO help here?

I have only 1 Backup Exec 2014 core license.

What can I do, any suggestions?
