Ja, ich suche eine Lösung
We're about to deploy an update to our current Backup Exec implementation and have a tape library attached to the back of a NAS through SAS. Our backup server (which will run in a VM) and the NAS are entirely separate which go through the network. We will be using the RMALS Remote Media Agent For Linux Systems (our NAS runs linux and works with BE)
We are going to link aggregate at least 2 gigabit lines into the NAS, but I'm wondering if we need to do this for the server/VM. Does data pass through the server if the storage target is remote? We have a limited supply of ethernet ports right now so it will make a signficant difference to us.
Thanks.
