Hi
First time poster but I suspect I very heavy reader in the future.
Hoping someone can help with this error
The SQL database xxx on Virtual machine yyy is configured to maintain transaction logs but transaction logs are not being performed. Not backing up the transaction log results in the log growing in size until it fills all available disk space. You should either schedule regular log backups or change the database to simple recovery mode.
Server 2012 with hyperv and SQL is a vitual machine.
BE 2012
We are running a single backup job with GRT across all the virtual machines.
The database is already set to Simple Recover mode and as far as I know always has been.
Tech support has advised to install the backup agent on the SQL machine and run a seperate full backup on just the SQL machine.
This backup queued indefinitely and crashed the software intil I cancelled it.
Symantecs own tech articles warn you not to back up a database in Simple Recovery Mode as it will fail...seems to be right!
Real newbie to this so please explain thoroughly.
Thanks for the help
