Hello,
It's been almost a month now since I have been able to run a successful backup. The problem started around 11/15/13 when my backup jobs would run at 2.00 MB/min instead of 1,000+ MB/min. There were no major configuration changes on my end, it seemed to just come up overnight.
I have tried many different things to resolve this issue, and now I can't even get a job to get past the Queued state. I start a job and then a Device Information box pops up with the error: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort0. There are no additional details or error codes.
Setup: We are running a HP StorageWorks Ultrium 448 connected via SCSI. I don't know much about the SCSI card, but under Device Manager the storage controller driver is listed as: LSI Adapter, Ultra320 SCSI 2000 series, w/1020/1030.
What I've done: I've tried changing the job and services credentials to an administrative account that is a member of Domain Admins, Backup Operators and Exchange Organization Administrators. I've changed the SCSI channel to 2, 3, 7, 10...I've tried a bunch. When on channel 2, the server will list 16 tape drives in Device Manager. I currently have it set to 3 where it only shows one drive. I've ran tapeinst.exe and installed v5.1.37.0 of the Symantec Drivers. I right clicked on the LSI Adapter and tried to update the drivers, but it said that drivers were up to date. I've tried a backup-to-disk job which ran at ~200.00 MB/min, not fantastic, but a little faster.
I've done quite a few other troubleshooting steps, but they're not coming to me right now. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.
