Problem connecting to media server after changing domain name

I had to change domain membership for this existing server, and now it won't connect to the media server (itself) at startup.  It asks for credentials, but doesn't like the domain admin credentials and says the services can't start.  Without it, I can't get to previous backups so i can restore critical data.  I've tried to re-enter the domain admin credentials, the local admin credentials, to no avail.  I see that there is a way to change this media server's configuration from one domain to another, but I'm afraid to do that for fear that I'll never have access to my old backups again.

Any insight?
